Mysuru: Veteran Sandalwood producer and MLC Sandesh Nagaraj has decided to resign from BJP and join Congress.
Moreover, Sandesh has hinted that over 10 BJP legislators are ready to leave BJP and join Congress.
Lambasting BJP he said, “I’m not active in the BJP. I’m unhappy with the party. They have betrayed me as they have done to legislator H. Vishwanath. BJP is known for betrayals. I’m done with BJP. I’ve spoken to veteran Congress leader Siddaramaiah and KPCC president D K Shivakumar.”
“They finished former chief minister and veteran BJP leader B S Yediyurappa’s political career. The BJP lost 40 seats because of this decision. Now they are behind his son B Y Vijayendra, by deciding to field him in Varuna Assembly Constituency. He has become a ‘sacrificial goat’. If he wants to win the upcoming 2023 Karnataka Assembly polls, he must contest from Shikaripur Assembly Constituency and not from Varuna”, he added.
Earlier, in the year 2018, Sandesh had quit Janata Dal (Secular) and joined BJP.
