Manipal: Elderly woman injured by negligence of bus staff

Manipal: An elderly woman was seriously injured by the negligent behavior of bus staff at Manipal.

The injured woman has been identified as Malini M Rao (68).

The bus, moving towards Dendurkatte from Udupi, had stopped at Rampura Junction. The bus conductor reportedly signaled the driver to move the bus, without verifying that all have boarded the bus.

As a result, Malini, who was still on the front footboard, lost her balance and fell onto the road. She sustained head injuries in the incident. Locals rushed her to a hospital.

A case has been registered against the bus staff at the Manipal police station in this regard.
