M’luru: Man slips while trying to board moving train, saved by RPF personnel

An alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel saved the life of a passenger, who tried boarding a moving train at Mangaluru railway station from falling between the track and the train.

On July 27 evening as Mangaluru – Thiruvananthapuram (MAQ-TVC) Malabar Express was departing from the station, Sankara Babu (70), a Kannur resident tried to board the S6 coach but failed and only managed to get a grip at the handlebar.

The RPF personnel K M K Prakesh who noticed this acted swiftly and pulled him before he would fall into the gap between the track and the train.

Sankara sustained minor injuries on his right leg and was administered first aid at the RPF office.

The entire incident was recorded on the CCTV installed at the railway station.
