Bagalkote: Bijapur MP Ramesh Jigajinagi was admitted to Kumareshwar Hospital here due to a breathing problem. He will be released in a couple of days, said renowned cardiologist Dr. Subhas Patil.
“His (Jigajinagi’s) breathing was erratic as the oxygen level was low. He was treated with oxygen immediately. He didn’t have a heart attack. He is improving now. We expect that he will be released from the hospital in about two days,” said Dr. Subhas Patil.
“Member of Parliament Jigajinagi was having trouble breathing. As a precaution, they (doctors) have done a heart check with a CT scan and ECG. The doctor said that this problem is due to a low oxygen level. There is no need to panic. He is healthy and talking. After two days of rest, he will be discharged home from the hospital,” said Dr. Veeranna Charanthimath, Working President, BVV Sangh.
The MP was on a road journey from Vijayapura to Hubballi on Sunday morning. He reportedly experenced breathing difficulties as he reached Bilagi in Bagalkote district.
