Honda Motorcycles has propelled the 2017 adaptation of the CB Shine for Rs.60,467 (ex-showroom). This model gets a BS-IV agreeable motor and a couple of restorative changes.

The CB Shine is the third Honda motorcycle to be BS-IV compliant. The first two being the CB Hornet 160R and the Unicorn 160. There has been no change in power figures or fuel efficiency.

The 125cc single-cylinder engine continues to produce 10.16bhp at 75000rpm and peak torque of 10.30Nm at 5500rpm. This motor is mated to a four-speed gearbox. Along with the BS-IV engine, the 2017 CB Shine gets a few aesthetic changes. There’s a 3D logo on the fuel tank, chrome exhaust cover and chrome carburetor cover. Honda has slightly tweaked the tail design too and has equipped the motorcycle with an automatic headlamp on (AHO) which soon is going to become a mandatory feature.

This motorcycle gets a five-speed gearbox instead of a four-speed. The CB Shine is available in three versions – self-start with drum brake, self-start with disc brake and self start with disc brake and combi braking system (CBS).

The CB Shine bikes have been competing neck and neck with the Hero Glamour. This rivalry will turn more aggressive when Hero launches the new Glamour in the next few weeks.`
