Chitradurga: Karnataka BJP unit is very likely to prepare list of candidates by August for upcoming state assembly elections scheduled to be held in 2018, said state party unit president, BS Yeddyurappa speaking in a press conference here in Chitradurga on Friday.
The list of candidates will be prepared on the basis of opinion of the people as like the list of candidates prepared by the Uttar Pradesh BJP unit for last state assembly elections held earlier this year. BJP National President Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Karnataka in August and the party would handover the list of candidates to him for his approval, BS Yeddyurappa said.
Speaking on IT raid on the residence of BJP Lok Sabha MP GM Siddeshwara, Yeddyurappa said the party has no connection with the raid. It is also proved that no partiality is followed on the basis of party by IT department to raid someone’s office or residence.
