Karnataka Govt to Launch ‘Elevator 2017’ Campaign to Support Startups: Priyank Kharge

Bengaluru: Karnataka state government has decided to launch ‘Elevator 2017’ campaign to support new startups, in the state said Karnataka State Information, Biotechnology Minister Priyank Kharge after the inaugural session of the website dedicated to the new campaign in the state capital on Tuesday. Under new system, the startups have various plans as options to select one out of them to start or continue a startup in Karnataka.
The website, www.elevate.bengaluruite.biz include various plans, visions and others for new startups. The government also has an objective to start, support 20, 000 startups in the next five years and to choose 100 best startups from the list to provide financial support to them in the future, minister added.
The ministry is also aimed to provide technical, legal, commercial and other support to the startups in Karnataka besides financial assistance. The ministry is also focusing on the cities, towns besides Bengaluru to establish startups, Kharge said.
