Count Downs Starts for Much Awaited Jamboo Savari in Mysuru

Mysuru: Cultural capital of Karnataka, Mysuru is all set to witness Jamboo Savari, a major attraction of ten day long Dasara festival, this evening, on September 30 at 04.45 PM. Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah will execute ‘Pushparchane ‘ to the idol of Goddess Chamudeshwari to kick start the procession near Balarama entrance of Mysuru palace.
Elephant Arjuna carrying idol of Goddess Chamudeshwari in ‘Chinnada Ambari’ on his back will lead Jamboo Savari, a procession elephants. The procession will move around Mysuru city and conclude at Bannimantap located almost outskirts of the city.
As many as 40 tableaux, 40 teams of artists showcasing various art forms, culture, rich heritage, history, agriculture and others of Kannada Nadu will take part in the procession. The procession will conclude at Bannimantap and also all Dasara celebrations will wind up after a torch march at the same venue at around 10.00 PM on September 30.
