Mandya: After the grand success of Indira canteens serving food at affordable prices, a hotelier here used his way to attract customers by naming his new venture as Kum Ramya Canteen which offers meal at Rs. 10.

The hotel was inaugurated by district congress president Athmananda at Ashok Nagar here on Sunday.

Ramya canteen had on its menu many exciting dishes from masala dose, masala vada to palak dose and puri. It was also offering chapatti, ragi mudde and anna samabar at Rs 10. One can also parcel food from here.

The visitors were curious to know if the canteen belonged to Ramya or got funds from her. But it was revealed that it was just a marketing gimmick that worked really well for hotelier.
