Bengaluru: Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy accused BJP president Amit Shah for initiating violence in Karnataka.

Speaking to the reporters Home Minister said that in spite of such actuation by Shah, the crime rate in Karnataka is fewer than 5% contrasted with 7% during the BJP government in the state. “Shah transparently told his party workers here (in Karnataka) to actuate violence. BJP Lok Sabha leader Pratap Simha tailed it in letter and soul. Karnataka positions tenth in the nation in crimes,” Reddy said.

He was addressing the reporters on the sidelines of the five-day grape and watermelon mela which started at Lalbagh Botanical Garden. Reddy additionally faulted the past BJP government in the state for not conveying culprits to book and disguising facts about criminals.

Refering to the case of Union Minister of State Ananth Kumar Hegde going ‘without scot’ even after he ambushed a doctor at a hospital in Sirsi in Uttara Kannada region, Reddy said that the BJP is defending him.

Reddy also said “Yet, the Congress is not doing that. We have expelled Mohammed Haris Nalapad from the party for a long time and guaranteed that he was arrested for his crime. Actions have been made against the police official for not doing his duty constantly. K R Puram Block Congress president Narayanswamy who poured petrol at the BBMP office and threatening BBMP authorities is also arrested,”
