Modi accuses Congress of dynastic rule

Koppal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to voters in an election meeting here on Tuesday, to vote for the BJP in order to put an end to the dynastic rule of the Congress party. In a scathing attack against the Congress, the PM said that, “There is a party that has ruled the country for nearly 60 years pursuing its dynastic rule policy. This dynastic family has the Constitution for its own benefit, it runs governments or destabilises them for the sake of its own.”

He said that the Congress would not think twice about dividing caste, creed, religion and even families for the sake of getting elected. The BJP, in contrast, works on the policy of patriotism, spreading love and devoting to social service, he asserted.

He also criticised the Congress government for not making good use of the natural, cultural and historical resources of the State, which could be used in the tourism sector. He said that the Central Government led by BJP had devised a Rs. 5000-crore plan to develop the culturally and historically important places in the country and to improve  road, rail and air transport facilities to these places. He promised that Koppal, Anegundi, Hampi and other such places of religious and historic importance would be benefitted by this scheme.

Mr. Modi lauded BJP State President B.S. Yeddyurappa for giving importance to women empowerment, tourism development, irrigation facilities and farmers’ welfare. Simultaneously, he mocked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for not learning from Maharastra, with regard to conservation of water and irrigation practices. He asserted belief in the fact that the BJP is a pro-farmer government as it had provided sprinkler irrigation facilities to parched land.
