Retired IAS officer killed in an accident

Mandya: A retired IAS officer was killed in an accident while he was engaged with farming on his land at Byadarahalli in Pandavapura taluk here on Thursday, July 12. 

The deceased S N Nagaraj, aged 62 years was apparently operating the tractor on his land when it all of a sudden toppled trapping the former officer underneath it. Nagaraj is said to have died on the spot. 

Nagaraj was filling in as the deputy commissioner of Raichur at the time of his retirement in 2016. Prior he had been deputed as the ZP secretary of Mandya Zilla Panchayat and Special DC of Bengaluru city. 

He is survived by his wife and two children.
