Arrest of juvenile thieves cracks several old theft cases

Mulki: Two minors, residents of Karnad Sadashiv Rao Nagar near Mulky were arrested by Mulki police inspector Ananth Padmanabha and team, in relation to various cases of thefts that had taken place in the past three years in Mulki, Kinnigoli, Haleyangady, Mukka, and Suratkal.

The police made the breakthrough while investigating a case that occurred near the industrial estate of Kolnadu. There is suspicion that a team of professional offenders is operating behind these boys and the investigation is being done, keeping the suspicion in mind.

With the arrest, the police have also seized a stolen Discovery bike, a Hero Honda bike, a bike stolen from Kinnigoli, battery from a waste collection vehicle on Kemral gram panchayat, 6 mobile phones and cigarettes and cash stolen from a milk parlour at Kilpady.

It is also understood that the arrested are also involved in multiple instances of petrol and battery theft of vehicles in Suratkal, Mukka, Kinnigoli, Kolnadu and Lingappaiah Kadu.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of T R Suresh, police commissioner and leadership of Deputy Commissioners Hanumantharaya and Uma Prashant, and assistant commissioner Rajendra.
