Kottara Chowki inundated

Mangaluru: The heavy rain in the city since Friday afternoon has inundated Kottara Chowki.  MLA D. Vedavyas Kamath rushed to the location, called officials to the location and directed them to come up with actions to provide a permanent solution.

Later, the MLA spoke with media and said that this area which is inundated lies within the jurisdiction of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) and National Highway (NH). Proper passage must be provided for the water to flow on one side of the road. The drainage of this road might have been blocked. I have directed the officials to get it repaired immediately, he informed.

During this occasion, ward committee president Umesh Shetty and several BJP workers cooperated with the police to regularize vehicular movement.
