Complaint against abusive Facebook post on UTK

Mangaluru: Members of the UT Khader Abhimani Balaga registered a police complaint against a man for posting derogatory remarks against district in-charge Minister U T Khader on Facebook.

A delegation led by Ashraf Monu Boliyar met City Police Commissioner T R Suresh on Monday drawing his attention to the posts in ‘Honey Hindustani Mangaluru Hindu’ Facebook account

The delegation alleged that the posts were aimed at tarnishing the minister’s image and fabricated news was furnished to mislead people. The posts could disturb the communal harmony in the society, they added demanding immediate arrest of the Facebook page admin.

Meanwhile, the commissioner has said that they will investigate the complaint and initiate action after availing permission from court.
