HDK has neglected coastal districts in last nine months: Raghupati Bhat

Mangaluru: MLA and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader from Udupi K Raghupati Bhat said that Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has ignored the coastal districts since the coalition government came to power.

Addressing presspersons here on Monday, April 8 Raghupati Bhat said that Kumaraswamy who has neglected the coastal districts in the last nine months is now giving assurances to the leaders of different communities who had met him in Karkala so that coalition candidate Pramod Madhwaraj could win in the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru parliamentary seat.

He further added that just within 24 hours of the declaration of results of the parliamentary elections the coalition government in the State would collapse.

Former Chief Minister and Congress Legislature Party leader Siddaramaiah himself is not happy to see Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Kumaraswamy as Chief Minister of the state, he added.

Speaking on the election campaign of BJP in Udupi he said that they would hold a bicycle rally called Chowkidar Cyclathon’ from Malpe beach to the district BJP office here on April 12 and are expecting about 1,000 bicyclists in the rally.
