Mangaluru: Condemning BJP’s move of fielding terror accused Sadhvi Pragya from Bhopal, Congress spokesperson A C Vinayaraj said that the party has shown its stand on terrorism.

Speaking to media on Saturday Aprol 20th, Mr Vinayaraj said, “We strongly condemn the controversial statement made by Pragya Singh Thakur on Hemanth Karkare. She is an accused in the Malegoan blast case. BJP which speaks about nationalism has shown its stand on terrorism by fielding her in the Lok Sabha polls from Bhopal constituency.”

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi or any other BJP leaders did not utter a single word on her controversial remarks which is equal to defending terrorist Ajmal Kasab. If Prime Minister Modi respects martyrs, action needs to be taken against Pragya Singh Thakur,” he said.

“If a terror accused is made an MP, then would it be possible to control terrorism in this country? Can we expect good administration?” he asked.

Responding to a question on Pragya Singh Thakur’s apology, Vinayaraj said, “BJP which speaks about nationalism is silent on her remarks. What kind of message is the BJP trying to deliver? Are they hatching a conspiracy in Bhopal?” he questioned.
