Man dies of suspected dengue

Bantwal: A man lost his life at a hospital at Mangaluru late night on Saturday August 3. It is suspected that he died because of dengue.

The deceased is identified as Prashanth alias Pachchu Ponnody (39), son of the late Balan from Ponnody near Talapady in B Mooda in the taluk. He was the third of four sons of the late Balan and the late Sarojini couple and was operating a truck, also serve as its driver. He is survived by two sisters and three brothers.

The victim was suffering from fever since a few days and was not responding well to the provided treatments; hence he was admitted into a hospital at Mangaluru. On getting shifted to Mangaluru, the doctors diagnosed that he was suffering from dengue.

As per family sources the victim did not respond to treatment and passed away late night on Saturday.
