New Delhi: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) on Friday launched its new generation Jeep Wrangler in India priced at Rs 63.94 lakh (all India).
The 5-door four-wheel-drive vehicle will go on sale in ten Jeep Destination Stores across India, FCA India said in a statement.
Commenting on the launch, FCA India President and Managing Director Kevin Flynn said, “The iconic Wrangler is an important vehicle for us to have in our portfolio as it is the flagbearer of Jeep values and has been part of the brand’s illustrious history for nearly eight decades, across the globe, and in India since its introduction in 2016”.
The new-generation Jeep Wrangler is powered by a 4-cylinder, 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine instead of 3.4-litre V-6 engine offered in the previous generation.
Moreover, the new version comes with 8-speed automatic transmission, replacing the 5-speed automatic that was offered in the older generation Wrangler, the company said.
It is also equipped with a 8.4-inch touchscreen with Apple Car Play, Android Auto and a built-in, pinch-to-zoom navigation feature.
The new Jeep Wrangler also comes with safety features such as electronic stability control, anti-lock braking system and brake assist, all-speed traction control, advanced multi-stage airbags and supplementary front seat-mounted side airbags, among others.
