Jalsuru: Narrow escape for BJP MLA Ramdas in road accident

Sullia: Mysore MLA from Krishnaraja assembly constituency, S. Ramadas’s car crashed into a roadside drain in Jalsuru, causing the car driver and lawmaker to escape unhurt in the early hours of Friday, August 23 rd.
MLA Ramadas was travelling to Mangaluru via Sullia from Mysuru when he reached the forest check post at Jalsuru at around 7.15 am. The driver allegedly fell asleep losing control and swerved the car into the drain nearby. Sitting in the front seat of the impacted car, MLA Ramdas suffered minor injuries.
It is learned that Ashik, son of Bhaskara Gowda brother of Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda who owns a petrol pump nearby took the injured MLA and admitted him to the hospital in Sullia in his car.
No danger
The injured MLA has been provided with all necessary treatment and is far from any harm, informed Sullia KVG Medical College Hospital’s Medical Director Dr K V Chidananda.
The MLA was seated in the front seat of the car and had worn a seat belt. During the impact, airbags had deployed and since he was wearing the seat belt, he was not seriously injured. But his chest suffered a powerful hit and hence all forms of treatment has been provided. He is far from any danger, he informed.
MLA S Angara visited the hospital and enquired about his Ramdas’s health.
