Karnataka: Ahead of Prime Minister visit to Bengaluru, 250 stretches spanning 20km of road have been cleared of potholes and humps in two days to ensure smooth travel for the latter.

As per the sources, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) swung into action after chief secretary TM Vijay Bhaskar specifically asked commissioner BH Anil Kumar to monitor the patchwork and ensure there are no hurdles during Modi’s visit.

Kumar on Thursday, September 5 chaired a meeting of BBMP engineers, took stock of the PM’s tour and expressed satisfaction over the work.

Meanwhile, TM Vijay Bhaskar informed, “All roads on which the VVIP moves will be free of potholes and humps and will be spick and span. BBMP and the organisers will keep the function venue and its surroundings clean.”

Narendra Modi will be landing at Yelahanka Air Force Station on Friday night and will stay at a private hotel in northwest Bengaluru. He will witness the landing of Chandrayaan-2 at Isro Telemetry Tracking and Command Network in Peenya.
