Udupi: Following the transfer of Sindhu B Rupesh as the deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, Preeti Gehlot took over charge as the new chief executive officer of the zilla panchayat here on Saturday September 7. She was hitherto working as sub divisional officer at Kumta in Uttara Kannada district.
Preeti is originally from Rajasthan and belongs to the 2016 IAS officers’ batch. She had undergone probationary training at Tumakuru.
