Udupi district police operation: Two held along with ganja

Udupi: Based on a tip-off, Udupi district police arrested two persons and seized illegally stored ganja and items worth a total of Rs 6 lakh. The arrested are identified as Piyush Agarwal (20) and Rishab Rajsingh (21), both originally from Uttar Pradesh.

The accused had illegally stored marijuana worth Rs 3.5 lakh inside a house near Saralabettu in Herga village. The cops seized items worth a total of Rs 6,91,350 including a weighing machine worth around Rs 300, a bunch do small plastic bags worth Rs 50, mobile phones worth a total of Rs 26,000 and Rs 3,15,000 in cash collected after the sale of the narcotic.

The accused have been produced in the court and have been remanded to judicial custody until Oct 5th.
