Bengaluru: A FIR has been registered against Doodhwala founders Aakash Agarwal and Ebrahim Akbari at Ulsoor Police Station for allegedly failing to clear dues of its vendors.
The milk delivery startup discontinued its services last month. Co-founder and CEO Akbari, in an update on its website, said that FreshToHome via FTHDaily will continue to service Doodhwala’s customer base in Bengaluru.
As per a media report, vendors have alleged that Doodhwala has not paid them their dues running into crores. Few of the vendors had stopped supplying products to the company in September due to unpaid dues.
A vendor was quoted as saying in the report that Doodhwala allegedly owes Rs 6-7 crore to around 30-35 vendors.
According to them, Agarwal and Akbari are absconding as their phones are continuously switched off.
The VC-funded milk delivery startup Doodhwala was yet to comment over the allegations.
