Litterateur Chennanna Walikar passes away

Kalaburagi: Litterateur Chennanna Walikar died on Sunday, November 24 night in a private hospital in Kalaburagi. He was 78.
Chennanna Walikar, who was known to be the voice of Dalits was a revolutionary writer and used to wear a red shirt always to represent himself as the activist of the Leftist movement.
Chennanna retired as a professor at Gulbarga University and was famous for his contributions to the folk literature. According to Chennanna ’s kin, his final rites will be performed on Monday.
