Two killed in separate accidents

Mangaluru: Two people were killed in separate accidents reported from Maroli and Nantoor junction in the city here.

The deceased have been identified as Pranvit Alva (19) and Ashok Kumar (51).

In the first case that occurred at Maroli, Pranit, a student of engineering sustained serious head injuries after he lost control over his bike, collided into an electric pole and went on to hit a parked lorry. He was rushed to a hospital where he breathed his last

The other accident took place at Nanthoor junction on Thursday night when a speeding Tavera car hit Ashok, a resident of Padavu while he was crossing the road. The car driver took Ashok to the hospital where he died in the wee hours of Friday.

Kadri traffic (east) police registered the cases.
