Thekkatte: All 18 contacts of COVID-19 patient test negative

Thekkatte: Staff members at the refuelling station here and at Gundmi tollgate who came into primary contact with the COVID-19 positive man going to Mandya have tested negative for the disease.

A man travelling from Mumbai to Mandya who was later found to be COVID-19 positive had made contact when the truck had stopped to refuel petrol and at the tollgate.

All 18 of the contacts were immediately quarantined at the hospital and their samples were sent for testing.

All of them will now be in institutional quarantine and after 14 days will be tested again after which they will be kept in home quarantine for another 14 days.
