Udupi: Ajekar ASI, Karkala rural station constable test positive for COVID-19

Udupi: A police constable of Karkala rural station and ASI of Ajekar Police Station have tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, May 24.

As per sources, the district administration is likely to sealdown Karkala rural station, Ajekar Police Station, Karkala town station, and Circle station, and all the policemen and policewomen working in these four stations will be quarantined.

“All the primary contacts of the police officers who were tested positive today will undergo screening and their swabs will also be collected and will be sent for test,” SP N Vishnuvardha informed Udayavani.
