Haveri: BJP MLA from Haveri Neharu Olekar has stated that as he is a senior member of the party so he too is an aspirant for a ministerial berth in the State cabinet.
Speaking to reporters he also stated that he is also a senior leader of the Balagai community. As no one from the community has received any ministerial positions till date the chief minister had promised to give one.
Many legislators are doing all sorts of things to become a minister and it looks like a dissent from the outside. With the intervention of the party seniors, everything will be solved, he said.
Olekar added that disagreement is natural when seeking power. Some have spoken within the party that they will bring down Yediyurappa government if they are not provided with a ministerial position. In the guidance of senior leaders ministership must be assigned and incompetents must be dropped. Umesh Katti will be given a ministerial post.
