Karnataka: Online admission starts for graduate courses

Team Udayavani, Aug 2, 2020, 11:30 AM IST

Bengaluru: The Department of College Education has started an online facility for students seeking admission into government degree colleges.

Students who have passed the PUC exams can apply for various graduate courses at 430 government degree colleges from the website – www.dce.karnataka.gov.in – for the academic year 2020-21.

Applications can be submitted for more than 4 colleges. Once a college accepts an application then all other applications by the same applicant will be deleted.

The Department has stated that all those who apply for admissions to the government colleges will be admitted. However, if there are less than 15 students for a set of offered subjects then the students will be advised to change their option of subjects.

Alternatively, offline admissions are also being conducted for those who do not have access to the Internet by visiting the colleges, filling up the forms and submitting them at the college. College staff will be later submitting these forms online.

The Department has also set up WhatsApp numbers for any queries (8277735113 and 8277573373) in addition to its email – [email protected].
