Guarding against thefts, villagers spotted on terrace of flood-hit Gokak

Gokak: Nine villagers of Adibatti village have been sitting overnight on the terrace of a building to protect the village from thieves amid flood situations in the taluk.

Residents of Gokak taluk have been affected by floods in the Ghataprabha river. Presently, the water level is said to have reduced.

The rainfall wreaked havoc in Adibatti village as the entire village was submerged in flood and the villagers were moved to a safe place.

However, nine villagers stayed back in the village to safeguard it from thieves. They have been keeping a vigil from a terrace of a building.

They have been captured in a drone camera and when the rescue team had asked them to move to a safe place. Now they have been shifted to a safe place.
