Mangaluru: The demolition work of Central theatre in Mangaluru has commenced and if sources are to be believed a commercial complex will come up at this spot.
The theatre, one of Mangaluru’s oldest was popular amongst movie buffs long before multiplexes came up in the city.
While screening of movies at the theatre was stopped around two years ago, the demolition work is underway now.
Earlier it was being speculated that a multiplex will replace the theatre, which used to be the first choice of movie distributors in Mangaluru.
