Mangaluru: In a series of three tweets the President of Karnataka BJP Nalin Kumar Kateel stated that the Opposition to protest the farm bills is because they are in favour of the middlemen.
In the tweet, he states that for the first time after Independence farmers will have the liberty to sell their produce in part of the country without any intermediaries, along with the availability of Minimum Support Price.
Farmers will receive best prices for their produce from being in contract with the food industry who will have to provide the required monetary and technical advise to the farmers for their crops and bear half or full share if there are any crop losses, Kateel tweeted.
Also, the farmers can now sell their produce themselves directly without necessarily selling it to the APMCs. However, middlemen-favouring opposition parties are against these laws, he said.K’taka BJP prez Nalin Kateel calls opp parties against farm bills ‘pro-middlemen’
