Amartya Hegde to be Cong candidate from Rajarajeshwari Nagar assembly constituency?

Bengaluru: If certain sources are to be believed, Amartya Subrahmanya Hegde, son of Cafe Coffee Day founder, the late Siddharth Hegde is likely to be being fielded as the Congress candidate from Rajarajeshwari Nagar assembly constituency here.
Amartya, grandson of BJP leader, S M Krishna, and would-be son-in-law of Karnataka state Congress president, D K Shivakumar will most likely be the Congress candidate from Rajarajeshwari Nagar assembly constituency. The seat has fallen vacant because of the resignation of the Congress MLA Muniratna, who has joined the BJP.
Reportedly, Amartya and his family members are wary of entering politics at this juncture, however, efforts are on to convince them to change their minds. It is gathered that the plan is the outcome of a carefully thought of plan mooted by D K Shivakumar and his brother and MP D K Suresh, to somehow snatch this constituency which has traditionally been with the Congress, from Muniratna.
