Movie theatres allowed 100% occupancy only for 4 weeks says Min Sudhakar

Bengaluru: Health Minister Sudhakar said that movie theatres will be allowed to operate at full capacity only for the next four weeks and if COVID-19 cases increase during that period then the guidelines for their operations will be changed again.
Sudhakar was speaking at a joint news conference with Information and Public Relations Minister CC Patil. Actor Shivraj Kumar, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce president DR Jayaraj and others were present during the conference.
Minister Patil said that the new guidelines would be issued by the government before tomorrow (February 4) evening.
“100% of theatre occupancy will be allowed from Friday. We haven’t even been to a theatre in over a year. We wish to see a Shivraj Kumar movie soon,” Patil added.
Speaking later, actor Shivraj Kumar said, “We had talks with the government. The government informed us of the reason to set the occupancy at 50%. We also stated our reasons for full 100% audience occupancy. Finally, housefull shows have been approved. We assured the government that we will take all mandatory precautionary measures without causing any trouble.”
