Amid commotion K’taka Leg Co passes anti-cow slaughter law

Bengaluru: The anti-cow slaughter law was passed in the State’s Vidhan Sabha on Monday despite strong opposition in the house.
The bill was ratified while Congress and JD(S) members of the Council were creating commotion.
As the act was being passed by voice vote, Congress members protested by tearing down copies of the bill.
After the passage of the law, the house was adjourned due to the increasing commotion.
