Mangaluru: ABVP members here protested against the state budget.
The protest was held in front of DC office condemning the state budget.
The protestors said that, “The education sector has been completely sidelined, the budget has neglected the poor, backward and talented students of the state. The state government has failed to provide free bus pass, upgrading the hostels meant for SC/ST students and filling of vacant teachers’ posts,”
The police detained an ABVP member for not moving away from the protest area despite instructions from the police. They later released him and brought the situation under control.
