Bengaluru: As senior Karnataka Congress leader D K Shivakumar appeared before at Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in a money laundering case for the fourth time, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Ashwathnarayan CN on Tuesday said that India is on the path of transformation and there is no place for corruption and loot of people’s money in a New India.

“Mr. DK Shivakumar, India is on the path of transformation and there is no place for corruption and loot of people’s money in a ‘New India’. The government is fighting tooth and nail to bring the corrupt and dishonest to justice,” tweeted Ashwathnarayan.

“Your allegations of political vendetta and gaining sympathy for your misdeeds is not going to work anymore. You will reap what you have sowed!,” he said in another tweet.

Karnataka Congress on Monday, Septemver termed the grilling of DK Shivakumar by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case, as “vendetta of the worst kind”.

Backing Ashwathnarayan’s comment BJP MP Ananth Kumar Hegde tweeted, ” Yes, that’s the issue @drashwathcn-ji! Taking the people for granted all these years for his misdeeds; he has lost the track of the emergence of #NewIndia, which has mandated the govt to arrest corruption. Sympathies decorate only the helpless needy and clearly he doesn’t deserve.”
