Actor Shashikumar quits Congress, joins JD(S)

Bengaluru: Actor Shashikumar, a Congress ticket aspirant from Hosadurga has joined the JD(S) in the wake of being denied ticket here on April 19. 

His choice to change over to the JD(S) came after the Congress chose to field B G Govindappa from Hosadurga constituency. It is learnt that JD(S) is wanting to field Shashikumar from the same Hosadurga constituency. He joined the JD(S) in the presence of JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda. 

Prior on Wednesday April 18, actress Amulya, her husband Jagdish and father-in-law joined the JD(S).
