A person died after a canter truck collided with a tipper parked opposite Hotel Mandarthi Grand at Agumbe.
The victim, identified as Salman and a resident of Doddamanekeri in Tirthahalli town, was asleep inside the canter truck when the driver lost control, leading to the collision with the parked tipper.
Sadly, Salman succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while the driver sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Manipal Hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred as the canter truck was traveling from Agumbe to Tirthahalli.
