Bengaluru: Following the brutal murder of BJYM leader Praveen Nettaru, reactions across political lines have begun pouring in. BJP National General Secretary C T Ravi, and legislators M P Renukacharya and B K Hariprasad have expressed their concern.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday C T Ravi said, “We have seen the murders of BJP workers and Hindu activists like Chandru, Harsha, and now Praveen. Never know who’s next? This is really concerning. I’ve met Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai and discussed the killings. This is just a sequel of what happened to tailor Kanhaiya Lal in Rajasthan”.

“We have not come to power to just sit back and enjoy, but fight against jihadi elements. Due to such incidents, the party workers are feeling helpless and insecure. I want to say that BJP stands with its workers”, he added.

Legislator Renukacharya said, “Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Model is the ‘need of the hour’ to put an end to such social evils”.’

Adding to it he said, “During the Congress regime in Karnataka, there were frequent murders of Hindu activists and BJP workers. After BJP has come to power, it has seemingly decreased. Justice to Praveen and his family will only be served if the assailants are subjected to stringent legal action”.

Meanwhile, he personally announced ex-gratia of Rs 1 lakh to Praveen’s family.

Taking to Twitter, Karnataka Vidhana Parishad LoP B K Hariprasad has tweeted, “The killing of Billava Yuva Vahini leader Praveen Nettaru is condemnable. The state government must order a thorough probe and arrest the real culprits, instead of assumptions. The killings of innocent youths must stop. I urge the people of Coastal Karnataka to kindly maintain peace”.
