Clash between DYFI and RSS injures many including policemen

Kumble: Police used lathi charge and tear gas to disperse the crowd generated due to a clash between the workers of DYFI and RSS. Many policemen along with the public were injured.
RSS workers had organized a rally to protest against the destruction of flag and decorations of B.M.S. district convention by delinquents. The rally started at Bambrana but as it reached Arikkadi Kunnil it gave rise to a clash between DYFI and RSS. Sameer (29), a DYFI member was injured in the group clash and is admitted at district co-operative hospital.
On receiving information about the fight, Kumble police raced to the location and made use of lathi charge and tear gas to disperse the crowd. In relation to this incident RSS worker Bambran Ramachandra, Rajesh, Jayaprakash, DYFI worker Abdul Asiz and Yusuf have been arrested by the police. A few rioters angered by police lathi charge threw soda bottles at them.
SI Jayashankar, Additional SI Shivdasan, policeman Vipin have been injured in this incident and are receiving treatment at the hospital. Police have arrested five members in relation to this untoward incident.
