Honnavar: A country bomb which exploded just before the dais during a programme participated by Bhatkal’s Independent MLA Mankala Subba, saved his life by the breath of a hair.

The bomb exploded in the hands of the person who was intending to throw the same onto the dais. Thus a major catastrophe was avoided. The bomber suffered serious injuries particularly to his right hand.

This attack occurred on Sunday Feb 25th at Hosada village near Honnavara in Uttara Kannada district.

The police have arrested one Raymond Miranda who attempted suicide after the malfunction of the bomb. A case has been registered and investigations are on.
