Hebri: A supporter of Congress leader Muniyal Uday Kumar Shetty attempted to commit suicide by pouring kerosene all over him during a protest in Hebri today.

Supporters of Muniyal Uday Kumar Shetty have been protesting against Congress senior leader Veerappa Moily asserting his part in denying ticket to Shetty.

Several supporters took to avenues even on Tuesday raising mottos against Moily. On April 16, the Congress party had discharged its list of candidates where former MLA Gopal Bhandary figured out how to secure ticket from Karkala supporters.

Hours after the list was out, the supporters of Shetty vented out their outrage for denying him the Karkala ticket for the upcoming elections.
