Covid 19: DK reports 14 new cases tally rises to 125

Mangaluru: Fourteen new cases of coronavirus was reported in Dakshina Kannada district on Sunday, May 31 a day that also saw the state recording biggest single-day spike of coronavirus cases.

With this the number of those infected in the district rose to 125.

Among the new cases reported today, 9 are Maharashtra returnees. A 50-year-old with travel history to Doha and 42-year-old who returned from Malaysia also tested positive for the virus.

The remaining three cases are contact of a person (patient 2287- a resident of Kenjar who had returned from Maharashtra recently) infected earlier.

The death toll in the district is 7, including one due to non-covid issue.
