Kaup’s Belapu area sealed after man discharged from quarantine tests Covid19 +ve

Mangaluru: A resident of Belapu village in Kaup taluk tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday May 31, just two days after being released from a quarantine facility here.

The man, a Maharashtra returnee had arrived in the district along with his family and had been placed under government quarantine here.

After he tested positive for coronavirus today, officials sealed down the area surrounding his residence.

Earlier yesterday too, a similar case was reported from Boliyar where a Mumbai returnee who was discharged from quarantine facility in Deralakatte tested positive for covid-19 on Saturday May 30.

He was shifted to the Wenlock hospital immediately thereafter. The man is said to have visited several places in and around Boliyar after being discharged from quarantine.

In both the cases, the locals in the area surrounding the patients residence are in a sense of fear.
