Kolar: Days after state health minister Sriramulu stoked a controversy with ‘Only God has to save us all’ remark on the coronavirus situation in Karnataka, state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel too invoked God albeit with a dig at former chief minister Siddaramaiah.
Speaking to reporters at Kolar here, Kateel said that the BJP government has effectively tackled the coronavirus crisis under the leadership of BS Yediyurappa who he claimed has God’s blessings.
“If Siddaramaiah was the chief minister of Karnataka at this juncture even God would have found it impossible to save the state,” he said.
On allegations levelled by Congress over the procurement of medical kits, Kateel said that the opposition should have supported the government in its fight against Covid instead of doing politics over the matter.
