Farm loan waiver: No farmer will face any injustice, says BSY

Bengaluru: The farm loan waiver announced by the JDS-Congress coalition government last year will be carried forward by the current government said Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.

Addressing presspersons Yediyurappa said, “Our government will ensure that no farmer faces any injustice, farmers not to pay heed to misleading statements on the scheme. after submitting proper documents you will get the benefit of the loan waiver scheme. There is no doubt.”

Yediyurappa’s statement comes after JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy accused the government of leaving out over one lakh farmers from the scheme for not submitting proper documents.

Kumaraswamy had said, “I will stand with farmers and take up the loan waiver issue in the assembly.”\
