HP witnesses light to moderate rainfall

Shimla: Light to moderate rains occurred at a few places today, with heavy rainfall at isolated places of Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh.

As per the data recorded, the highest rainfall was recorded in Kheri as 65 mm followed by Dharamshala 52.6 mm, Bhareri 45 mm, Kangra 36.8 mm, Kasauli-34 mm, Bhunter 32.2 mm, Dalhousie 32 mm, Sarkaghat 29 mm, Sarahan 22 mm and Bajaura 15 mm.

Manali remained the coldest place with 12.6 degrees Celsius lowest temperature, whereas Hamirpur recorded as the hottest place with 36.3 degrees Celsius highest temperature in the state during the period. 

Light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at scattered places in the state in 48 hours, the Meteorological (MeT) Department said.
