Karkala: 19-year-old engineering student drowns in Arbi Falls

Karkala: A 19-year-old engineering student drowned to death in Arbi Falls in Nitte village on August 2, Monday.

The victim has been identified as Varshita, daughter of Amaresh B and Sandhya, residents of Jeppu Market Mangaluru.

It is said that Varshita had been on a visit to the falls along with her friends. Even though, the girl knew how to swim the acute force of water dragged her away.

Varshita’s body was later fished out from the water by firemen. A case was in this regard has been registered in Karkala rural police station.
